The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series sets there four goodyear eagle’s on the new pavement of the Pocono Raceway for 400 laps Sunday afternoon. It will be the first race since the Pocono Raceway completely repaved this two and a half mile oval that is located in the pocono hills of Pennsylvania.
Joey Logano went out early in Qualifying on Saturday and held the top spot the rest of the time trial session and earned his fourth career pole, Logano will lead the field to the green flag on Sunday.
All of these drivers had a lot of time on this new surface before today’s race, they had testing sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, plus two practices on Friday.
This race has been cut 100 miles, it used to be a 500 mile race but now will be only 400 miles, which equals 160 laps on this 2.5 mile tri-oval
