The racing at Daytona kicks off tonight with the NASCAR Nationwide Series race under the lights in Florida.
Austin Dillon was the winner last weekend in Kentucky and because of the win was granted the point lead, but his car failed post race inspection and NASCAR later docked him six points so he has fallen to second position in the standings, four points behind leader Elliott Sadler
Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch are all of the Sprint Cup regulars participating in tonight’s Nationwide series race.
Joey Logano won this race a year ago and will be in the race this evening, him and his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing team withdrew from last weekends race in Kentucky due to lack of sponsorship.
Logano will not be in the No. 20 car tonight however, Denny Hamlin was supposed to be in the race tonight but due to back spasms he is sitting out, Logano will fill in for Hamlin in the No. 18 car and Clint Bowyer will instead be in the No. 2o Joe Gibbs racing machine.
