The NASCAR Nationwide Series will get unleashed at one of the famous and longest road courses in America this afternoon, Road America in Wisconsin.
This is the first of three road courses the NASCAR Nationwide Series will visit on the year, the track is located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin which is the middle of nowhere in case you were wondering. This is a long 4.048 mile road course, yes it takes 4.048 miles to just run one lap around this road course. This is just the second year the nationwide series has raced at this facility.
Carl Edwards won the inaugural event two years ago and Reed Sorenson won last year after some interesting final laps.
Danica Patrick may have a big challenge today at this very large road course in Wisconsin, yet another challenge awaits here this afternoon in a stock car. I feel like she might run through the grass a handful of times this afternnon.
Kurt Busch is making the long trip from Sonoma to race this afternoon for Kyle Busch Motorsports, he will catch a flight back to Sonoma for Sundays NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race after today’s event in Wisconsin. .
If you are watching this race on tv you should give yourself a high-five because if you actually would to go to this event it would be a big waste of money. You can’t see anything, the only racing you are able to see is basically only right in front of you and then you have to wait and ponder your thoughts for four miles until they come roaring past you.
Everybody enjoy the race.
